Do you have any other form of operating system installed? did you check to see wether it recognises your keyboard? it could be corrupt and you might need another setup.

Note: I just wanted to know what you wanted to do with win98 because a fair amount of new hardware is not recognised by win98 and therefore might need aditional drivers added to the setup.

Correction: XP doesn't have SATA or SCSI drivers. And in the case of a downgrade this is a known problem. The first option would be to try to get safe mode or another repair option on the F8 menu....

First: why would you want to dual boot win98 and XP? if its to run win98 apps XP can do it. go to properties and then click windows 98 in the run in compability mode menu. I would install win98 first...

If it was a setup you would need IDE/SATA drivers but it isn't. The only thing I could think to do is keep pressing F8 during BIOS and startup to see if it even gets as far as windows startup...
