Hello, I have a Raidmax Smilodon case with 120mm front intake fan, 2 80mm side intake fans, and 120mm rear exhaust fan. My question is I have a EVGA GTX 470 (exhaust out rear) and below it there is a pocket of hot air. Would it be better to have air intake or exhaust out of the PCI slots?

I have the same fan... forgive the slowpoke for a two-year late response.
By default, I noticed that the manufacturer placed both of the side fans in a way that they are only blowing air INTO the case. I simply flipped both fans the other way, cleaned them off, and now my card runs about 10ºC cooler.
