I just got a new gigabyte ep43t-ud3l for xmas and was wondering if anyone had some feedback about this board? I cant seem to find any reviews. Is this a decent boar average or poor one?

What are the types of processors I can use with this board? What are the best ones I can use?

I was previously using a P4 3.2 Dual Core processor but it burnt out, was this processor compatible with this board?

I like Gigabyte motherboards. I own 4 of them, each with working systems.

Your old processor is compatible with this board.

Best CPU's? I'd use either an E8400 (E8500 and E8600 are appreciably more expensive) or a Q9550 (Q9650 more expensive).

The "T" model uses DDR3 RAM. I'd suggest DDR3-1066 RAM or maybe DDR3-1333 at the most.

I'd go with this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037

$10 more, the free shipping would cover that, you get 3Ghz, a 1333 FSB. Also use ONLY 1333 memory that is on the Gigabyte product site approved memory list. I had problems with 1333 memory that was on the list as the bios didn't properly recognize the timing. Even after updating to the latest BIOS which was supposed to enhance memory compatibility, it did not correctly recognize the timing in AUTO mode.

Hope this suggestion isn't too late.

Now ya see here son, this is what we call a dead thread, it died as no one was interested or no one had info for it, or the author found the info and decided to let the thread die.

So we buried it, gave it a funeral and let it lie in peace.

Now what ya have done here is Necrothreaded it back into the living realm, disturbing its grave and its peace! Why boy, why? The poor thread has suffered enough! Let it rest!!
